Lisa Hong
Lisa Hong Piano Studio is dedicated to providing high-quality piano instruction for students aged 5 and up, from beginners to advanced musicians.​​ Our mission is to create a safe environment that inspires and encourages students to improve their skills and cultivate a lifelong love for music, adapting our teaching methods to suit each student's unique style and individual needs.​​​ We also believes in the importance of balancing solid fundamentals in technique and theory, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Hanon, Czerny, and Music Theory, with pieces they want to enjoy, such as New Age, Pop, and OST. With 13 years of teaching experience and driven by her passion for music education, Lisa established her own business, 'J Piano Korea,' a music academy in 2016, where she created classes for different age groups, including those for competition, adults, talent development, entrance exam preparation, and beginners. Thanks to enthusiastic feedback, she has been actively contributing to providing professional yet enjoyable piano lessons to people of all ages who love music and piano in the Bay Area, California.

Lisa Hong is a Korean pianist with a well-rounded background in performance, pedagogy, and chamber music. Lisa Hong started playing the piano at the age of 5 and made her solo debut at the age of 13 with the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra under Alfonso Saura Llacer, which was praised for her 'colorful and thrilling playing.' She graduated from Kyung Hee University in South Korea and completed a Master of Music degree in piano performance at the Manhattan School of Music. She received top prizes in multiple competitions, including the Beethoven Young Artist Competition, Sisa Music News International & Youth Music Association Concours, training with Young-hwa Yoon, Seong Soon Hwang, and Yoo-jin Song.
